On 29 July 2019, in the Municipality of Sopiste, a public debate was held, attended by Bajram Redzepi, executive director of NER JSC Skopje, Stevce Trpkoski, mayor of Sopiste, representatives of the council of the Municipality of Sopiste, representatives of NER and citizens of the municipality. The plan for the construction of the main gas pipeline, section Skopje-Tetovo-Gostivar, the route of which passes in this municipality, was presented at this debate. Some key information regarding the construction, as well as the Law on expropriation, were presented to the citizens. The constructive debate enabled the citizens to become better acquainted with the benefits of gasification and it was also focused on overcoming obstacles in the course of construction.
