Bajram Redzepi, executive director of NER JSC Skopje, took part in the Conference “Vision for energy transition 2040”. Gasification is one of the top priorities of the Government. “Soon in the country there will be 372 kilometers gas pipelines of the transmission network. At the moment there are three sections that are under construction. The section from Klechovce to Negotino in length of 96 km is 100% completed, the section from Negotino to Bitola in length of 92 km is with 94% realization and the section from Skopje to Tetovo and Gostivar has 75% realization. Until the end of the year 274 km of gas pipeline are planned to be built. The project for extension of the gas pipeline from Gostivar to Kicevo has already been prepared and the parts from Kicevo to Ohrid and from Ohrid to Bitola are under construction, which will completely close the gas pipeline ring and will ensure the stability of the system. "The interconnector with Greece should be built soon, which will ensure energy independence and the construction of interconnectors with Kosovo and Serbia is planned, which will transit gas through the country and will contribute to reducing the gas price," Redzepi said.
